Brighto, owned and operated by Lee Chauvette has moved to a bigger and better location on the internet. This is in direct response to the success of the first Brighto website. The new site has been downgraded but still contains the essential pages such as the Brighto forum, Polling page, Local news and the recipe page. SELECTMEN'S MEETING UPDATE | |||||||||||||||||
The Athol Board of Selectmen met on Tuesday evening and disscussed various town business. Citizen's Concerns brought forth a resident who voiced his opposition to the removal of the three trees in front of the proposed Veteran's Park. H.Thomas Colo discussed the envelope that has been the center on controversy in Athol for two years. The envelope supposedly holds documents used in past investigations by former police Chief Thomas Button, that Colo maintains is no longer being used in any investigation. The envelope is marked do not open until 2003. The board tabled a motion to accept a 1968 surplus Military vehicle to be used by the Fire Department as a Forestry Tanker. The boards wants more information from Chief James Wright on the matter. David Young, of the Miller's River CDC spoke to the board regarding several issues, including the fact that the True Value Hardware store Movie Theater project, needs to be re-bid, due to the prices of the bids. | |||||||||||||||||
GRADUATION WEEKEND IN ATHOL | |||||||||||||||||
This weekend marks the 1999 School Year Graduation at Athol High School. Friday morning, the traditional Class Day will be held at the school. The Senior Prom, will be held Friday evening at the Memorial Hall. At 12 midnight the After Prom Party will begin at the YMCA. This event is the premier drug and alcohol free prom party in the Commonwealth. Graduation will be held on Sunday June 6th at the High School. | |||||||||||||||||
