The Memorial Day observance was well attended this year and was inspirational to all who attended. However, I do take exception to a term used throughout the media, which honoring the "war dead". We need to also honor those who returned from war Alive and those who are actively serving our country now. We need to remember all of our Veteran's each and every day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Is it really necessary to keep bringing up the trees on Main Street, which need to be removed in order to place granite slabs into the Veteran's Park? The people who really oppose this should band together and raise them money that will be needed to hire a crane to do the work if the trees must remain. The budget of the park cannot afford to have to spend money on a crane. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
